Most health screens do not require any specific preparation beforehand, although being well hydrated can be helpful when taking blood. We will let you know if you require any specific preparation for your health screen.
A health screen is a medical assessment carried out by a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or General Practitioner (GP) to evaluate your overall health and wellbeing. Our health screens include a personal consultation to gain a better understanding of your health needs, along with a range of tests that can be customised based on your age, gender, and any existing medical conditions.
Please bring any details about your medical history, current conditions, allergies, and any medications you’re taking to your health screen appointment.
Yes! You can discuss and add additional tests with your doctor during your health screen. Payment for additional tests will be made during the appointment.
You can choose which health screen you would like on our booking page. Our bronze health screen is conducted by a Healthcare Assistants (HCA). All other health screens include time with a GP to discuss your assessment and results from your tests.
DocTap's most popular package is the Gold health screen. A healthcare professional will take a blood sample and check your vital signs. Your GP will then carry out a full check-up and go through your results. The appointment takes around 55 minutes, and you’ll receive your full health report by 10pm the same day.
A healthcare assistant (HCA) is a healthcare professional who is trained to take bloods and gather information for clinical assessments by our doctors. DocTap's HCAs help us to bring you the best possible care whether you are having a health screen or blood test.
