Whether a particular form or certificate can be completed depends on its requirements and the evidence available. - How much does a GP medical letter cost?
There is no additional charge for letters or sick notes issued within a GP consultation.
- Can a medical letter be issued during a video GP appointment?
Your doctor may be able to provide a sick note or medical letter over a video consultation but we recommend booking a clinic appointment for sick notes or medical letter requests, as your doctor may need to perform an in person examination to assess your condition.
- What documents should I bring to a medical-letter appointment?
In most cases no. But if the letter needs to reference your medical history, please bring any relevant documents (e.g. proof of diagnosis, test results, previous prescriptions, or consultant letters).
- When and how will I receive my medical letter?
You will receive an electronic copy of your letter in your DocTap account, typically within an hour of your appointment. If you require a hard copy, your doctor will print and sign it during the appointment if needed.
- Are there medical forms or certificates DocTap cannot complete?
Please email a copy of your form to us at patients@doctap.co.uk so that we can check whether our doctors are able to fill it in.
