What letters can I get?
Letters are at the discretion of the doctor. They will not write anything which they believe to be untrue or are unable to substantiate.
We recommend booking a clinic appointment for sick notes or medical letter requests, as the doctor may need to perform an in-clinic examination to assess your condition.
In addition to the content of your letter, it will also include your name, gender, date of birth, home address, DocTap contact details and issue date. It will be signed by a GMC-registered doctor and include their GMC number.
Yes, if you need a hard copy, your doctor will print and sign it during the appointment. An electronic copy will also be available in your DocTap portal, typically within an hour.
