Biography

Ana Bakic is a Psychologist and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with over ten years of clinical experience, working with adults, adolescents, and professionals across a range of settings. She holds a Master’s in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, and completed her psychotherapy training in Belgrade, alongside a BSc in Psychology. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and works in line with established ethical and professional standards.

Her experience spans private practice, educational settings, and multidisciplinary environments, including work alongside psychiatrists and school-based services. This breadth of experience has supported the development of a flexible and integrative clinical approach. Ana combines psychodynamic therapy with structured, evidence-based models, including training at the Anna Freud Centre in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT). Ana values working in diverse and multicultural contexts, and is committed to offering an inclusive, culturally sensitive space that reflects the richness of London’s communities.

Ana has developed particular interests in anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, personality-related difficulties, and the impact of early experiences and past trauma on adult life. She works with clients who may be struggling with strong emotions, self-sabotage, or unhelpful patterns, as well as those facing life transitions, identity questions, and a sense of feeling “stuck,” offering both in-depth exploration and more focused, time-limited interventions where appropriate.

Alongside her clinical work, Ana has an interest in organisational consulting and the application of psychological thinking within professional environments. She values reflective practice and ongoing professional development, working regularly in supervision across different therapeutic modalities.

Outside of her clinical work, she maintains a strong interest in philosophy, culture, and the exploration of human experience, which continues to inform her therapeutic perspective.
