Dr Teromi Selvadurai is a conscientious and patient-centred General Practitioner who grew up in Central London and has dedicated her career to serving the diverse communities of East London. She graduated with Honours from University College London and further enhanced her medical foundation with an additional degree in physiology and pharmacology. Having worked across a range of busy multicultural practices, she is highly adept at managing consultations with clarity and empathy, ensuring every patient feels understood regardless of the complexity of their needs.
Her clinical expertise is particularly strong in Women’s Health, supported by a postgraduate diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She is currently expanding these skills to include advanced contraceptive procedures to offer more comprehensive support to her patients. Beyond this, she has a keen interest in mental health and musculoskeletal medicine, and her hospital experience includes dedicated time in oncology, psychiatry, and palliative care. Her commitment to precision is also reflected in her research and publications, including a book chapter on the clinical use of ultrasound for junior doctors.
Dr Selvadurai is also a passionate educator and leader, having served as a clinical skills tutor and a regional representative for GP trainees in London. She takes great pride in her role as a mentor and consistently looks for ways to improve patient services through detailed quality audits. Outside of her medical practice, she is deeply connected to music and culture; she is a grade-level pianist and singer who also plays the violin and enjoys tap dancing. Her international experience, including medical placements in Canada and Sri Lanka, allows her to bring a rich, multicultural perspective to every patient she sees.
