Steroid Nasal Sprays
Beclometasone nasal spray (beclometasone dipropionate) is used to prevent and treat rhinitis.

Used to treat allergies, rhinitis, asthma, nasal polyps and for the symptomatic relief of childhood adenoids
Beclomethasone is a steroid and therefore has anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic (anti-itch) and vasoconstrictive effect's
Child: 6 -17 years - 100mcg twice daily to be administered into each nostril, reduced to 50mcg twice daily once symptoms relieved - maximum 400mcg once daily
Adult: 100mcg twice daily to be administered into each nostril, reduced to 50mcg twice daily once symptoms relieved - maximum 400mcg once daily
Glaucoma, nasal septal perforation (usually following nose surgery), aggression, hyperactivity, sleep disturbances, anxiety and bronchospasm (particularly in children), dryness, nosebleeds, hypersensitivity reactions, smell and taste disturbances and throat as well as hoarseness, nasal congestion and rarely, allergic reactions
Avoid after nasal surgery and lung TB or nasal infections
Not contraindicated
Can be used in pregnancy if the the benefit outweighs the risk
