What’s included

Your blood test panel

Your appointment includes full blood count, liver function, kidney function, glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol and CRP tests. You can add HbA1c or a tiredness profile if required.

Full blood count

Can help explain symptoms such as feeling wiped out, feverish or unusually tired, by checking for signs of infection, anaemia or inflammation.

Liver function

Useful if you’ve been drinking more than usual, take regular medication, feel generally unwell, or your GP wants to check whether your liver needs further investigation.

Kidney function

Helps your GP decide whether dehydration, kidney strain or certain medicines could be relevant, and whether closer monitoring or follow-up is needed.

Glucose, triglycerides & cholesterol

Looks at blood sugar and blood fats, helping your GP assess diabetes risk, raised cholesterol and wider metabolic health.

CRP

Can support your GP’s judgement on inflammation or infection, including whether symptoms are more likely to need treatment, monitoring or safety-netting.

HbA1c (optional add-on)

Useful if you are concerned about type 2 diabetes or want a longer-term view of your average blood sugar.

Tiredness profile (optional add-on)

Adds thyroid function and ferritin, which can help investigate tiredness, low mood, weight change, breathlessness, hair changes or low iron.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a standard GP blood test appointment?

This appointment combines key blood tests with a GP review in the same visit. Your blood sample is taken when you arrive, processed in our on-site lab, and reviewed with your GP before you leave. With a standard GP blood test appointment, your GP arranges any tests you need during the consultation and takes your sample, but the results are usually available afterwards rather than being discussed during the same appointment.

How long does the appointment take?

Around 30 minutes. Your blood sample is taken when you arrive, your key results are ready in around 15 minutes, and you then meet with your GP to review the results and discuss any next steps.

Do I need to fast before my blood test?

No. The focused panel does not require fasting. If any test ever needs preparation, we will tell you in your booking summary and confirmation email.

Which clinics offer this appointment?

Our five London clinics with on-site labs: Canary Wharf, Hammersmith, Kings Cross & Euston, Liverpool Street & Bank, and London Bridge.

What if my GP wants tests beyond the panel?

If your GP feels further tests are clinically appropriate, they can arrange them during your appointment. Some additional tests can be processed on-site, while others are sent to our partner laboratory and the results are shared with you afterwards.

Not sure which blood tests you need?

Book a GP blood test appointment instead and a doctor will advise on the right tests for you.
