How much does a private blood test cost?
You pay for your GP appointment at checkout. Any tests and the handling fee are charged on the day.
- GP appointment:
- £75 weekdays, £85 weekends. Charged at checkout when you book. DocTap Pass members save 10%.
- Your test:
- Price depends on which test your GP recommends or you select. Charged at your appointment. DocTap Pass members save 10%.
- Handling fee
- £20 — Charged at your appointment. DocTap Pass members save 10%.
- STI & health screen exceptions
- Some STI tests and health screens are HCA-led, so the GP fee does not apply; an HCA fee (from £10) is included in the all-in price.

Each test's turnaround time is listed below; those with guaranteed same-day 4-hour results are covered by our money-back guarantee, and other times are typical and can occasionally be longer, for example when additional testing is required.
