Dr Amish Patel is a highly experienced General Practitioner and the Deputy Medical Director at DocTap, having been a valued member of our clinical team for an extended period. He received his medical training at King’s College London and has since built a diverse career across major London hospitals, including University College London Hospital and St George’s. As a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, he is committed to delivering patient centred and compassionate care to every individual he sees.
In his role as Deputy Medical Director, Dr Patel brings the same resourcefulness and clinical excellence that has defined his tenure with us. He covers the full spectrum of family medicine and has developed significant expertise in managing both acute illnesses and chronic health conditions. He holds a particular clinical interest in sexual and reproductive health, having pursued advanced qualifications in this field and worked as a speciality doctor in sexual health and family planning clinics.
Dr Patel is also highly experienced in supporting patients with concerns related to men's health, women's health, and mental health. His background includes a strong focus on urgent care and minor injuries, making him a highly efficient clinician who is adept at managing a wide variety of medical needs. Throughout his career, he has also led community health initiatives and held leadership positions that reflect his dedication to high quality healthcare delivery.
He is fully fluent in English and Gujarati. When he is not in the clinic or fulfilling his leadership duties, he is a keen sportsman who enjoys swimming and tennis, and he is also an accomplished musician who plays the drums and the dhol.
