Biography
Dr Anna Hourmouzios is an experienced General Practitioner based in London, known for her empathetic, evidence-based approach to patient care. She graduated in Medicine from University College London in 2008, building on a first-class degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, which continues to shape her thoughtful and person-centred consultations.
Before becoming a GP, Dr Hourmouzios trained for three years in paediatrics and earned postgraduate qualifications (the MRCPCH) from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She maintains a strong interest in child health and development, alongside particular expertise in sexual and reproductive health — supported by a specialist diploma in this area (the DRSRH). She also has a specialist interest in the menopause having recently completed the Management of the Menopause Certificate from the British Menopause Society. In addition she has undergone training via The National Medical Weight Loss Programme.
Dr Hourmouzios is also an educator and mentor, being a qualified GP trainer and clinical supervisor with a passion for developing future doctors. Within her clinical practice, she has led work on sustainable prescribing, reflecting her commitment to high-quality, forward-thinking healthcare.
She is recognised for her collaborative and supportive style, aiming to build lasting partnerships with patients and colleagues alike. Beyond her clinical work she is a mother to two school-aged children, loves going to the theatre, reading and trying to learn Greek.
