Dr Kanta Uddin is an experienced General Practitioner who prides herself on delivering compassionate and patient-focused care. She completed her medical training at the University of Manchester Medical School in 2003 and has been practising as a qualified GP since 2012. Her career has been defined by a commitment to the diverse communities of London, where she has worked in various surgeries across the city.
Before moving into general practice, Dr Uddin built an extensive clinical foundation through rotations in several prestigious hospitals. Her background includes specialised experience in acute medicine, cardiology, and HIV at Barts and The Royal London, as well as time spent in the liver and renal units at Kings College Hospital. She also gained valuable international experience working in the trauma and emergency department at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney, Australia.
Dr Uddin holds a special interest in women’s health and has successfully completed a postgraduate diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She finds the variety of general practice incredibly rewarding and enjoys the daily opportunity to build trusting relationships with her patients.
She is fluent in both English and Bengali, allowing her to support a wide range of patients within the community. When she is not in the clinic, Dr Uddin enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is also an avid reader of novels and frequently visits the theatre to enjoy the latest productions.
