Dr Laura Mindel is a highly conscientious General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing up-to-date and empathetic care to patients from all walks of life. She began her academic journey with a first-class honours degree in biology from the University of Nottingham before graduating in medicine from University College London in 2008. Her early career provided her with a strong foundation in hospital medicine at Chelsea and Westminster and West Middlesex hospitals, after which she completed her specialist general practice training in South London.
Laura has developed a deep expertise in family medicine, with a particular focus on women’s health and the menopause. Her commitment to high clinical standards led her to achieve a postgraduate diploma in this field, and she is passionate about supporting women through these significant life stages with the latest evidence-based care. Her conscientious nature is also reflected in her role as a lead for child protection, where she works to ensure the safety and wellbeing of younger patients.
Education is another area where Laura makes a significant impact. She enjoys teaching and inspiring the next generation of medical students at a leading London medical school, ensuring they develop the same enthusiasm for patient-centred care that she brings to her own practice. She also serves as a GP appraiser, helping to maintain high standards of professional practice across the local healthcare community.
Outside of her professional life, Laura is a busy mother of two. She finds that family life has helped her become even more organised and adept at multi-tasking, skills that she brings back to the clinic. To stay active and healthy, she enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
