Biography
Dr Zoë Allen trained as a GP in London and previously worked in emergency medicine at Chelsea and Westminster hospital and St Mary’s hospital, giving her broad experience across both acute and community care. She holds postgraduate diplomas in Child Health, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Tropical Medicine & Hygiene with particular interests in women’s health, lifestyle medicine and preventative care.
Alongside her NHS and private GP work, Dr Allen has worked in remote, humanitarian and expedition medicine in locations including Zambia, Madagascar and Antarctica. She also teaches healthcare professionals through World Extreme Medicine and tutors on the Médecins Sans Frontières’ Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine course.
Outside of work, Dr Allen is a keen trail runner and enjoys ski touring. She has a strong interest in nutrition, fitness and longevity, and enjoys incorporating these principles into consultations where appropriate to support a more holistic approach to health.
