Frequently asked questions
- Do you offer ear syringing or microsuction?
We do not currently offer ear syringing as it is a less safe wax removal option. Microsuction is now the gold standard, and while we do not offer this in our clinics, we are pleased to recommend Hearology if you require this service. https://www.hearology.uk/
- Can you refer me to an ear specialist?
If needed, we can provide a referral to an ENT specialist or audiologist for further investigation or treatment.
- Can you treat ear infections?
Yes. DocTap GPs can diagnose and treat common ear infections such as otitis media (middle ear infection) and otitis externa (outer ear infection or swimmer’s ear). Our GP's can prescribe antibiotics or ear drops if needed.
- Can I bring my child to DocTap for an ear issue?
Yes, we can assess ear infections and other common symptoms in children.
