Get Same-Day GP Care for Eye Concerns

Common causes
Eye issues can range from minor annoyances like dryness or itching to more serious problems that affect your vision, such as infections or inflammation.
Your eye symptoms matter
Redness, itching, pain, blurred vision or swelling aren’t just irritating — they can interfere with your daily life and may need medical attention if they don’t go away.
Our GP's can help
Our GPs can check symptoms like red eyes, styes, or blurred vision. We’ll explain what’s going on and offer the right treatment to get you feeling better quickly.
Treatment tailored to you
Many common eye problems can be treated easily with eye drops, medications, or home care. Your GP will guide you through the safest, most effective options. If your eye problem is more serious or affecting your vision, we’ll arrange a fast referral to a trusted optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Frequently asked questions

Can you refer me to a specialist?

Yes, we can refer you to an eye specialist -such as an ophthalmologist, if a GP determines it's necessary based on your symptoms or condition.

Can you remove a foreign object from my eye?

We do not offer this service. You should visit urgent care, an eye hospital, or an ophthalmologist - depending on the severity of the issue.

When should i see a doctor and when should I see an optician?

If your symptoms are mild (like mild redness, irritation, or discharge), you suspect you have an infection or allergy that needs medicine, see a doctor. Our GP's can also help with health problems affecting your eyes or give you a referral to a specialist. See an optician if you need a routine eye exam, want new or updated glasses or contacts, have minor issues like dry eyes or eye strain, or want checks for conditions like glaucoma or cataracts.

Does DocTap have opticians?

No, DocTap does not provide optician services.
