Frequently asked questions

Can you check my heart health?

Yes. We can assess your heart health, check your blood pressure, listen to your heart, discuss symptoms like chest pain or palpitations, and order relevant blood tests.

Can you refer me to a cardiologist?

Yes. If further investigation is needed, your GP can provide a private referral to a cardiologist, including for tests like echocardiograms or stress tests.

Can you help with chest pain, palpitations, or breathlessness?

We can assess symptoms like mild chest discomfort, palpitations, or shortness of breath. If your symptoms are sudden, severe, or ongoing, you should go to A&E immediately.

Can you prescribe heart-related medication?

Yes. We can prescribe treatment for conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and mild arrhythmias, and review or renew existing prescriptions.

Do you offer ECGs?

Yes - if appropriate, we can arrange an ECG (electrocardiogram) for you with our third-party provider. You can book an appointment for heart concerns, and the doctor will advise if an ECG is needed.

Can you test for high cholesterol or heart risk?

Yes. We offer cholesterol tests, blood pressure monitoring, and cardiovascular risk assessments. These can help detect early signs of heart disease.
