Frequently asked questions

Can I get a prescription during the appointment?

Yes. If treatment is needed, your GP can issue a private prescription during your appointment — either to take to a pharmacy or sent digitally.

Do I need to see a dermatologist, or can a GP help?

In many cases, a GP can manage your skin condition. If specialist care is needed, your DocTap GP can refer you to a private dermatologist.

Do you offer skin allergy testing?

DocTap doesn’t offer patch or allergy testing, but your GP can assess your symptoms, rule out other causes, and refer you to an allergy or dermatology clinic if needed.

Can I get a mole or lump checked?

Absolutely. If you’ve noticed changes in a mole, lump, or patch of skin, your GP can examine it, advise you on whether it’s concerning, and refer you for further testing if needed.

Can I see a GP about a rash or skin irritation?

Yes - DocTap GPs regularly treat rashes, eczema, contact dermatitis, and other common skin issues. You can get a diagnosis and treatment plan during your appointment.
