Local clinic suggestions and practical information for your visit.
Choose a clinic near your home, hotel or workplace. These local landmarks may help you find a convenient option.
New Malden. Kingston Council describes New Malden as home to Europe's largest Korean community. None of our clinics is nearby, so consider a video appointment or compare the journey: trains run to Waterloo, then the Jubilee line to our London Bridge and Canary Wharf clinics. Check the clinic address and your journey before booking.
Trafalgar Square. The Korean Cultural Centre UK is on the Strand by Trafalgar Square; from Charing Cross, the Northern line runs to Euston, near our Kings Cross & Euston clinic.
The City. Korean banks, including Shinhan Bank, have offices in the City, near our Liverpool Street & Bank clinic.
Direct flights from Seoul land at Heathrow. The Elizabeth line runs to Bond Street, Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf, near our clinics there, and the Piccadilly line runs to Hammersmith.
If you live, study or work in the UK. Anyone in England can register with an NHS GP free of charge, and if you paid the Immigration Health Surcharge with your visa, most NHS services are free. DocTap is a private, pay-per-appointment option when you want a faster appointment. Workplace or private medical insurance may cover private GP visits; check your policy.
If you are visiting. Korea's National Health Insurance does not provide benefits abroad, so plan to pay yourself. Travel insurance may cover private doctor visits: check your policy.
Keep your invoice (you can download it from your DocTap account), proof of payment and any prescriptions. Your insurer decides, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Yes. Visitors and tourists are welcome, and you do not need to be registered with an NHS GP.
Video appointments are available while you are in the UK. Some symptoms and services require an examination in clinic.
A GP can assess your request during an appointment. Tell us what the document is for; some assessments need to take place in clinic.
For children under 16, bring the child’s passport or birth certificate and the accompanying adult’s ID. If the adult is not the parent or legal guardian, bring a signed permission letter from the parent or guardian. Contact patient support before booking if you need help choosing the appointment or meeting these requirements.
A GP can review your medication and decide whether a prescription is appropriate. Bring details of what you take, including the medicine name and dose.
AI translation can make mistakes. Take turns speaking and tell your GP if anything is unclear so you can check it together. The original and translated text is stored with your medical record. Clinical notes, prescriptions, medical letters and test results are provided in English and are not automatically translated. Ask your GP to explain anything you do not understand.
DocTap is a GP service, not an emergency department. For a life-threatening emergency, call 999 or go to A&E. If you need urgent medical help and are unsure what to do, call NHS 111. You can ask for an interpreter when you call.
