Dr Abhishek Bhattacharjee is a versatile General Practitioner who brings over twenty years of clinical experience to his practice. His professional journey includes serving as a medical officer in the Indian Army, where he reached the rank of Major, and later working as an emergency doctor in the Channel Islands. After completing his specialist training in West Yorkshire, he transitioned to practising in London within both the NHS and private sectors.
He enjoys every aspect of family medicine and has developed a particular interest in supporting patients with concerns related to men's health, digestive health, and lifestyle medicine. His experience working with a large elderly population has also provided him with significant expertise in managing frailty and palliative care. He is recognised for his warm and compassionate approach, always aiming to work in close partnership with patients to help them reach their personal health goals.
He completed his medical degree at the Armed Forces Medical College in India before moving to the United Kingdom to further his training and obtain his specialist qualifications. Alongside his clinical duties, he is dedicated to medical education and has experience teaching medical students and other healthcare professionals. As a veteran, he remains deeply committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to the wider community.
He is fully fluent in English and Hindi. When he is not in the clinic, he stays active by playing tennis and swimming, and he also has a passion for cooking Indian cuisine.
